Talking about grief and loss is never easy. However, when it comes to talking with adolescents and teens about the loss of a loved one, communication may feel complicated and confusing.
Adults often wonder: How much should I tell my child?; What end of life care rituals should they be included in?; And/Or how do I help a young one grieve, especially if I am experiencing my own loss? This webinar will explore how to communicate with adolescents and teens about death and loss in an age appropriate manner. We will also cover normal grief responses among adolescent and teens and identify red flags that may indicate maladaptive grief.
The webinar will conclude with national, online and print resources to help families with children and teens cope with grief and loss.
